Day 307/365: In the Garden

Our garden was long overdue a clean up and today was the day that we got around to it. This gave me the opportunity to take some photos outside with my new 100mm lens.

So, with the 100mm you would expect a more shallow depth of field - this means that the background looks closer than it would if I took the picture with a shorter focal length such as 35mm. I love that different lenses give different effects. I really love this lens. It is super sharp and makes very fancy sounds when it auto focuses. Image stabilisation has been amazing for me.

The close us stuff is lots of fun, but still an untapped area for me.

Bear enjoyed watching some mush on the computer after her busy day in the garden.
